Metal Slug: Awakening on Android                          

Tencent created the smartphone game Metal Slug: Awakening, which has the trademark side-scrolling, run-and-gun action of the Metal Slug series. Assuming the character of a soldier in the Metal Slug squad, players battle their way through numerous stages while using various weapons and power-ups to defeat foes and bosses. The game has new mechanics, improved visuals, a cooperative multiplayer option for working with teammates to overcome obstacles, and a PvP mode for combat. Additionally, it has a plot that links to the greater Metal Slug world by introducing both well-known characters from earlier games and brand-new ones.
